Q. My new oven smells and smokes, is this normal



A. New ovens and hobs can produce a pungent smell upon initial operation as the adhesives and coatings used during manufacturing process are being "burnt off".

This is quite normal and any odours will be removed quickly. The oven can also smoke when using the oven or grill function when it is older this is due to fat/grease on the roof and walls of the oven cavity. We sugest that theoven is cleaned regually to reduce this.
