Q) The timer on my Smeg tumble dryer DRY72 does not count down?


A) The time selector is not a timer, it does not count down to zero. For example, if you set it for 20 mins drying time, at the end of 20 mins the dryer will stop and the red LED with illuminate and the green LED will flash and the timer will still be showing 20 mins selected. this is not a fault.



This model is unlike similar previous products where the clockwork timer control mechanism will physically rotate and countdown from the time set by the user to zero on the dial.



Please refer to the user manual for full user instructions. The control is a selector and not a rotating countdown indicator and does not show elapsed time or time remaining.
