There is water gathering at the bottom of the fridge and/or it's leaking from the front.
Q: There is water gathering at the bottom of the fridge and/or it's leaking from the front.
A: This can be caused by the following three situations:
The fridge is leaning slightly forward rather than slightly backwards, resulting in the defrost water missing the V channel
Food being pushed back against the evaporator plate pulling the defrost water forward
The outlet pipe blocked or partially blocked with food debris stopping the water from draining onto the tray above the compressor.
If you suspect the third option as being the case, please pull the fridge forward before you commence the following actions:
Your will need a bottle of Milton Sterilising Fluid and a length of plastic covered curtain wire
Pour a small amount of Milton into the V channel
Thread the plastic covered curtain wire through the drainage pipe until it can be seen at the bottom of the pipe by the tray
This action will need to be carried out several times to remove crumbs and mould and kill the mould spores
Finally empty the debris from the plastic tray and pour some more Milton down the pipe to kill any remaining mould spores and sterilise the tray which will then need wiping out
