Q) Why is my hood dripping oil?

A) Any grease or fat dripping from the hood during or after cooking is due to lack of regular maintenance.

If the grease filter is not cleaned regularly then it becomes saturated and will not remove any more grease from the air passing through the filter. The oil and grease that passes through the filter will be deposited inside the hood and around the motor. The grease and oil will build up and eventually drip back out of the bottom of the hood.

You can clean the grease filters by hand with warm soapy water or in a dishwasher but the dishwasher can "dull" to finish of the filters.
