Induction Hobs - U on the display

Q: I have a letter "U" on the display of my induction hob, this is not an error code, what does it mean?


A: This is a warning advising you that no pan detected, this could mean that no pan is deteched after you enter the power setting, and also if a pan has been placed on the zone, the pan it self is not suitable for induction cooking.



In order for a pan to work successfully on any induction hob, it needs to have the right amount of ferrous (magnetic) material. Please check with your retailer/ supplier to find out details of the pans being used.
