Q: How hot the external glass would be when the oven is on pyro function? Will the glass be hot? Would it be hot enough to burn a childs hand?
A: Yes the outer glass will get very hot.
The Oven when in Pyro mode will reach very high temperatures during its cleaning cycle, when using the oven in any function children should not be in reach of the appliance at any time of the appliance being in use. The pyro function operates more than twice the highest cooking temperature of the appliance. Do not touch the appliance at anytime whilst its in pyro mode until such a time that its deemed safe to do so - See your user manual for more information.
OPERATION:
When the PYROLYSIS function is set, a special thermostat brings the oven temperature to 470°C provoking a slow combustion (without flame) that burns off fat and dirt residues that form inside the oven, without using any chemical products. The internal walls of the muffle are covered with a special enamel layer that facilitates detachment of dirt and ensures that performance is maintained over time
Combustion generates smoke and odours that exit through the catalyser, which accelerates the combustion process thereby reducing the smoke and smell.
