The EnerSave option, a feature of certain Smeg dishwashers, can be selected along with the desired wash programme and can further reduce energy consumption by 10 or 20% (for 13 and 14 place setting models respectively) compared to regular class A dishwashers. A special device automatically opens the door, slowly and gradually, by a few centimetres at the end of the drying cycle. This ensures perfect drying and greater control over rinse temperatures.
