Q) Why does my built in Smeg SC485X-8 oven turn itself off after 10 hours, even on a low heat setting?


A) This is not a fault. There is a built-in safety timer that cuts out the oven if no changes are made to temperature or function for 10 hours.


If after 10 hours no one touched the oven, the oven will be deactivated. You can change oven function or change the temperature to reset the software timer.
